JoAHD is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

The journal is managed by an editorial board of experienced scholars and practitioners, ensuring the integrity and relevance of every article we publish.
All articles are accessible via the journal's website and selected indexing databases. Articles accepted from 1st July 2025 will now become first issue of volume 2025. However, all accepted articles will be posted online as `in press’ after acceptance in the Early View section.
